Nearly 250 people got together last month, from 3rd to 8th August, to attend the North of England Bahá’í ‘Summer School’. The Summer School this year was held in the beautiful surroundings of Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate, near York.
Bahá’í Summer Schools are a popular place for people to meet together, to find out new things at various courses and events at the schools, and to catch up with old friends from around the world. The people attending the School last month came to the North of England from as far away as the South coast of England, from South Wales, the North East of Scotland and from almost everywhere else in between!
Bahá’ís from Calderdale attended and were actively involved in organising and running what turned out to be a most enjoyable and successful six days of studying together, learning and having great fun! Children and younger adults also had the opportunity to make new friends and to enjoy their own dedicated programme of activities at the School.
We are all now very much looking forward to next year’s School!
